Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity, 2009 Composition Competition
The 2009 composition entry must be for cello and piano, should be between 7-15 minutes long, and must not have been performed publicly prior to the premiere date of the 2009 conference. Fort Collins Symphony Young Artist Competition

The 2008 Haynes International Flute Competition
June 6 and 7, 2008 at the First and Second Street Church in Boston, Massachusetts. The first-place prize is a 14K gold handmade Haynes flute, the second-place prize is a silver handmade Haynes flutes with soldered toneholes, and the third-place prize is a silver handmade Haynes flute with drawn toneholes. Open to flutists up to and including the age of 35, the final jury of the competition will include such flutists as Jeanne Baxtresser, Guoliang Han, and Michel Debost. Musica Viva Competition
The B.M.W. Group is hosting a composition competition for Music Viva, a contemporary music concert series with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
