Description
Fred Waring (1900-1984) was one of the leading choral directors of the 20th century. He composed and arranged music, and his choral group, The Pennsylvanians, spread the popularity of singing. We added his name to the Director’s Award for Chorus with the endorsement of his widow Virginia Waring. The award recognizes the talent and enthusiasm of outstanding choral members.
The beautiful walnut Wall Plaque (101⁄2" x 13") hangs in the school to inspire students and generate enthusiasm. The award can be given as a junior high school award or in high schools as a runner-up to the National School Choral Award. Quantities are not restricted.
