The National School Choral Award is the highest honor for high school choral performers. It recognizes the dedication and musical achievement of the top male and female choral students. Each year present the top male and female performers the Student Combination Set of Awards, which includes the white marble desk piece (3"x2 1⁄2" base, 3 1⁄4" height), certificate (8 1⁄2"x11"), and pin (5⁄8"x1⁄2").
To preserve the prestige of the honor, the award is limited to two boys and two girls per school per year, except in the event of a tie when one or two additional awards may be ordered. The Fred Waring Director's Award for Chorus may be used as a runner-up award. (Its quantities are not restricted.)
